Text by Miriam Stoney

Born in London, lives and works in Vienna.

Kind-of-fitting-in, not-quite-fitting-in. My works consist mainly of sculpture and video, and broadly look at how things shape, and are shaped. I am interested in the inevitable slippages that occur in attempts to copy, observe or move forms from one place to another.

Exhibitions include The Devil to Pay in the Backlands, Neuer Kunstverein Wien (2022), Brishty Alam, VAN, Independent Space Index, Vienna (2022), Drawings, Pina, Vienna (2022), Ajker, Tati, London (2022), Flight Mode, SET, London (2022), Entre Amis Quatre, French Riviera, London (2021), Haus Wien (2021), Intersectional Commeration Club Risograph Reader #1, Berlin (2021), De Sculptura #1, WAF Galerie, Vienna (2020), Bobsche Combo, Austrian Cultural Forum Warsaw (2019), Brishty Alam, Parallel Vienna Art Fair (2019), Fig. 2, Center for Contemporary Arts Celje/Likovni Salon Gallery (2019), Formed into a soft mass, Foundation, Vienna (2018) and Stoff Band Nacht, Kunsthaus Hamburg (2017). Currently teaches at the University of Arts Linz and the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with a year in HFBK Hamburg.
